Solar Panels
F&M Whelan Ltd has installed innovative solar photovoltaic (PV) panels at its production facility in Rathangan, Duncormick, Co Wexford. The official commissioning of the PV panels took place on Wednesday 19th April 2023 with our expert installers Southeast Solar Ltd. The installation will harness solar energy and convert it into usable power for our production plant. This will reduce reliance on the national grid and decrease the company’s carbon footprint.
The large-scale roof proved ideal for the 60Kw installation which is comprised of 150 individual 400W Trina Solar modules, connected to a Huawei SE66.6K inverter.
F&M Whelan is delighted to support local on this project in engaging with Southeast Solar Ltd. The installation was seamless and we are very pleased with the results.
With the electricity market being unpredictable this is a very important project for our business and we hope to carry out further solar installations in the coming years which will further reduce our company’s running costs.
